Date of next covid safe plan review: June 13, 2023
Responsibilities:
Junior Footy Stars is committed to providing a Covid-19 safe environment for all players, parents, coaches and staff, In order to do so, we will be following the recommendations and directions of the Victorian Chief Health Officer. We understand these may change or be adapted on a daily basis and all staff and coaches will be made aware of these changes prior to a program or session commencing.
Covid Safe Principles:
1. Physical Distancing:
Actions: All players where possible will maintain a 1.5m social distancing range from any other person present. We acknowledge during tackling activities that this may not occur, but we are committed to following requests made by the Chief Health Officer and in the event that no tackling activities are permitted, we will obey these requests fully.
During breaks, we will continue to maintain the 1.5m social distancing rule
2. Wear a face mask
Actions: With majority of our programs being conducted outside, players as they are participating in physical activity will not need to wear a face mask. In regards to parents/guardians and spectators, masks may be required and will be instructed by the Junior Footy Stars Coaches and Staff should that be a recommendation by the Victorian Chief Health Officer at the time.
3. Practise Good Hygiene
Actions: Prior to entering the oval at any time during a program or football session, players will be instructed that they MUST use hand sanitizer on their hands and the correct technique as per the Covid-19 Infection Control course has suggested. During any break such as a snack break, lunch break or any other break, coaches and staff will sanitise all equipment including but not limited to footballs, cones, goals, fitness equipment etc. This will be in the form of an antibacterial spray, and antibacterial hand pump liquid will also be at each and every Junior Stars Program and Location.
4. Record Keeping
Actions: Junior Footy Stars has a rolecall at all programs with parent/guardian information as well as player information. Records will be kept and be provided to the relevant people should they be required. In the event where a child develops symptoms during their time in
Junior Footy Stars, they will be removed by a staff member and the social distancing rules will apply. The parent/guardian of the player will be contacted and a full explanation will be provided. Should reports be required by any medical team or practitioner, these will be
provided by Junior Footy Stars.
5. Enclosed Spaces interaction
Actions: This does not apply to Junior Footy Stars as all activities are conducted in an outdoor environment.
6. Create workforce/activity bubbles
Actions: This does not apply to Junior Footy Stars.
